How to scale A SALON business using high profit margin beauty services
Keeping a schedule maxed out with booked services, especially low-margin services, is a form of business stagnation that will slow your bank account, break your body, and zap all of your energy.
When I was hitting high 5-figure months, I was so excited to make that amount of money, but I was quickly physically and mentally exhausted from working 8, 10, and even 12-hour days.
Booked and busy for me meant burnt out, and even got a bit bored with the redundancy.
That’s when I stopped focusing on working harder, and counting hours and clients booked, and went back to reevaluate my business strategy and update my goals.
I took a step back to consider the values that were important to my happiness, and I brainstromed and calculated high-profit-margin beauty services.
I didn’t need to raise my prices (again) to try and cut the number of clients I saw without shortening my earnings; I needed to implement what worked to effectively use as cross-selling techniques for estheticians and beauty pros like me, to maximize the value of the loyal clients that I had already worked so hard to attract in the first place.
So I went through my current service menu with precision, I got rid of any services I no longer wanted to do, and upgraded services to include add-ons that focused on what my clients would value and appreciate most, while also increasing my margins and giving me more time to live my life, and no more 12-hour days!
This is why I tell every beauty pro and entrepreneur whom I come into contact with that sacrificing your health and schedule isn’t necessary in order to be successful.
I consult beauty professionals to focus on SMART goals, and productivity and efficiency, by doing less, charging more, and maintaining boundaries that protect your peace and the foundation of your business.
I do not offer coaching services. I do, however, offer consulting services that help you find the blind spots you may be missing, ensure your goals are aligned with your values an longterm plans, and give you actionable and proven tips to make sure you’re using your time and money wisely to help you avoid costly mistakes.
